Trim behind roll hoops separating

Hello All:
I've attempted to identify what part might be broken or disconnected on Realoem.com, but the diagrams don't show the underside of the console pieces or the top storage area.

As the picture shows, the top of the console trim is popped, such that when the top is down, the friction is wearing the top and making a squeaking noise.

Does anyone know how these pieces are connected? I can't see any broken tabs. I was hoping someone who has taken this area apart might have some insight as to what pieces connect to each other, and how. I'm going to guess the plastic piece underneath the upper console cover has snapped a tab or two.

Thanks advance!

I seem to remember that the center plastic part pops off, revealing 2 sizable screws up near the top that should be holding it down.
