What is the Stock Center Pipe diameter?

Or put another way, on a Z4 M, if you adding just a rear exhaust whats the right size for the muffler inlet?

Why not just measure with a caliper next time you're underneath the car? I guesstimate it's probably at least 2.5" in diameter?

Did that, got a measurement of 2.35" which seem's rather odd to me. Looking for clarification from those that have been their & done that :-)
