When the group buy happens it looks like ill be in for sure. Most Australian are getting a $900 gov bonus in the new stimulus plan that was just approved.

With all the good options out there why wait? I appreciate that RPI is diligent about creating a product (I happen to own a couple of their products), but this is dragging on too long. It is nearly 8 months and nothing. Why not just pull the trigger on BMS, Supersprint, Rogue, or one of the dozen other great options and enjoy it now. You guys have already missed out on 8 months of exhaust rumble...there should be a law against that

I don't think there are any updates.

Cal was the only one willing or able to drop his car off for them to test out the exhaust on another car. He said he wouldn't be available to drop the car off until early March. RPI said they will not finalize until they have tested it on another car.

I wouldn't expect any update until middle of March.

I'm thinking Burt has the right idea.... I was waiting for the RPI because of the thoroughness of the design ( testing ), however it has been a reallllllly long time waiting. Maybe SuperSprint Race should be my choice

Well...to be honest with you I'm not planning on doing an exhaust mod until at least christmas, if not next year. I have other things that need to be done first. So, waiting isn't a problem for me, and I like knowing what options are out there.

Waiting is a problem for us, esp when we are going to invest time and money into a project. The lack of Z4M owners around here kind of makes the project not seem like a good business decision. We have been trying to get ONE more Z4m here for months now with no luck.

Wow...I can't believe you can't find a single Z4M owner to test with. I'm in the bay area, but already have the BMS exhaust...mainly because I had a feeling something like this might happen..

Hopefully someone in socal steps up and drives over there. This exhaust has the makings to be exactly what we need in regards to quality, performance, and price point. Don't give up on us Z4M owners just yet RPI..

I am more then willing to bring my car in, it is just that they need a stock car. If they would test a modded car, I would be there tomorrow!

I would imagine that they would obtain helpful info regardless of your mods...I understand they have their reputation at stake, but I'd like to have their exhaust as an option as I will buy one soon.

The reason we didnt want a modded car was that mods affect how your car can sustain hp. For example, we dont post gains unless the car can put down the same power 3-4 pulls in a row with no cool down. On modded cars, this changes. Some aftermarket tunes, intakes, etc. can all give a "good" dyno pull but many suffer from being able to back it up. We want to eliminate any chance of the gains or losses being from something else other than our exhaust.

I understand...I wouldn't be into it right now if I were you either...esp with the economy issues. That said, I can't believe there are so few SOCAL M owners with unmoded Z4Ms that are unwilling to go down there. It doesn't make sense...I mean...its SOCAL...
