Amplifier blown..where to get a new one?
Hey guys,
where can you get a replacement Z4 amplifier as the one has burnt out due to water damage. I hear its a very common issue. where can i get one from? and isit only from Bmw that will work?

Check EBay or carparts.com, be aware there are a million different part numbers so you will need to obtain the part # on the replacement part from the seller, then run that part # through a online parts catalog (www.getbmwparts.com for example) to see if it will work with your car.
Make sure you get the right amp, there are many different levels of the stereo system in the Z4, expecially in the U.K....

Once again this forum (and one or two other similar) saved me money.
1. The forum help me locate the amplifier behind the carpet in the trunk. 2. The forum informed me that there's a fuse at the amp. I replaced the fuse and my radio now has sound. Woo Hoo. Didn't want to buy a new amp. BMW must have relocated the amp due to many having water damage issues with the original location next to the battery. |
