Are you an idiot or are you like some 50 year old man that doesn't understand the internet or something? You don't use the same handle on every forum you register for. I've even linked a few posts over there to here saying "when I said this"

I'm sorry for being so deceitful.

Different handle? LMAO! You're the only one I see on zpost and bimmerfest with 2 different handles ... are you saying the rest of us are idiots too?

I really never said I cared, I asked, you answered, if you want to make a big deal out of being two different assholes, hey, that's your business, but don't apologize for being an asshole, I blame it on your parents ...

No I'm saying you're an idiot for expecting someone to use the same handle everywhere and implying some sort of dishonesty if you did. I use another one on e46 fanatics, I have triple personalities holy shit!

I never expect anyone to use the same one and I never implied dishonesty. I rarely spend time in the Tech Talk area and saw the high quality pics and they looked familiar.

Once you realize that O/Blau is an a$$ and there is no changing it, you can ignore it and sift through his posts for nuggets of info...which are also there.

Well I'm happy to report the issues reported in other threads have somewhat been resolved. I was peaking at 5.5 early and holding that to redline. I overhauled the entire system today, changed my bracket (I had the correct one waiting for some time but was waiting for clamps) and changed every single crappy ass charge pipe clamp that came with the kit. I double clamped every connection that had the room for it (blowing a pipe off on track is NOT a fun experience neither the immediate aftermath or having to fix it quickly on the ground).

I used breeze aero seal clamps. These clamps are great and I love them, they are the kind of clamps that will crush an aluminum pipe if allowed to. They could easily crush your finger strong. My belt is still squeaking like a SOAB though, but I did not replace it (napa was closed) hopefully a new belt will fix that.

A new issue has reared it's head. I Had to take the pulley off in the process and noticed a whole like of oil and grease in it, I also noticed after closely inspecting it after everything was back on the car that there is considerable run-out (IE it's wobbly). Hopefully this is not an issue with the blower.

But the good news is now I am peaking at 6.5 (still not the BEST news) and the butt dyno says its a tad faster (not by much though :/). It makes a little different noise at WOT theres more of a whine or whistle now.

I'll get it on the dyno soon hopefully and see what it does. I'm guess on a dynojet the boost will be higher then loaded road boost.

In the process of things today I swapped back my stock section 1 in preparation for a dyno. Before this though I took a pair of nuts and tack welded them to the two bolt holes at the top of the flanges.

Since most have not taken out this section of exhaust, BMW has oh so kindly put our bolt holes at the tippy top (vs the e46 where all three are accessible) And blocked pretty much any access to them with the dumb cats.

Tacking a pair of nuts up there means not having to drop the entire exhaust to replace the first section or use a PERFECTLY sized wrench to hold the nut captive (remember BMW has some sort of aversion to using zinc coated hardware so it all rusts horribly.)

I think I'll make a video of these clamps crushing something, like maybe a soda can or something .

They aren't even t clamps or anything, just simple good worm gear clamps.

I don't. I was thinking turbo not supercharger. It was like 4 am and I had had one meal so I wasn't thinking straight. Superchargers don't boost up like a turbo does off load.

Hello! You are not down a pound or more, if the system is leak free, it is a mechanical process to make the 6.5 required. This is not an 8psi system.

The parts that were wrong replacements were shipped. A lot of things are to be expected with a newer kit. The rest of the issues are a bit of a head scratcher and I wouldn't really say are their fault.

Kit I have is rated at 7 and actuallity supposed to be more like 8. Who is that behind the name -_-.

Anyway I'll dyno it sometime soon hopefully. I have a few more things to check.

Also, running meth on the out-of-the-box ESS CFR setup will do very little to provide any gains. Methanol is used to cool the intake charge if excessive heat is causing the engine to pull timing off its set maps. Since the maps are already written correctly (not absurdly advanced), you will see little gains on the stock CFR by adding methanol. These kits are track-tested for almost a year before they see the public and performed without problems (including heat issues). We did not need methanol to cool even the hardest run setups.

Now, if you want to use methanol to make more power, that is a different story. You would want to run say a 138mm pulley to up the boost and also advance the timing to take advantage of it. ESS does not R&D for anything other than normal fuels (99% of the market), so option like methanol, alcohol, nitrous are custom applications and outside the normal support channels. It is possible but requires custom programming.

Pulley size dictates the boost level. The 500 is 6.5psi, the 525 is rated at 7psi. There is no current option for 8psi.

And this is Todd.

Yes I know that's its rating. Up until yesterday there was definately a leak (replaced every clamp with breeze worm gears), which has been somewhat alieveated. I have been working with hans to sort it and I feel there is still a leak somewhere from either the bypass or one of the peripheral connections.

The methanol is for the track and future plans. (Which are on hold until I know it's in good shape the way you sent it )

For the past 2 weeks the car has felt like a dog, I was quite annoyed and thought there was a leak again, tightened all the clamps, same thing, only hitting about 6 psi which is about the same as before.

Then I realized previously it has always been below 70 or there abouts including the times I dynoed. I popped the trunk and switched the meth on, but dyno and timing monitoring says 90 degrees outside + meth = good match.
