I'm not sure about the camber required, but more is always better, just in case

19" rims

ok i have been reading this for at least 30 minutes and am more lost than when I started. I am going to go to 19" rims for the DD wheels after the first of the year with width of 8.5 and 9.5. I am running stock suspension and camber. I am leaving it that way for forseeable future. I don't want to run any spacers or roll the fenders. what is the best offsets I need on the 19" rims? OR can 9" fronts work without rubbing? If I go with the 9" fronts I will go with 10" rears

Is a comfortable setup - Much depends on the brand of tyre you choose.

Rears may be tight. Tire brand and size needs to be considered.

Using the wheel calculator the rears will EXTEND an extra 21mm from stock.

When I used 12.5mm spacers with 265's I had a minor degree of rub with the OE wheels. Lowered ~ 1".

If you choose the right tire you may be OK.

I ran 19x10 et25 with 275/30 RE-11s in the back with about 1/2" drop and -1.7° camber. There was just a very very minor rub on the top edge of the tire on high compression highway dips but was fine other than that. This makes me believe that this may ne as far as you can push the rear before you have issues. I used this setup for a year at tracks and driving to/from (as far as 800 miles one way to some tracks) and was happy with the setup.

My local body shop said rolling the lip on the back fender is risky (paint crack) and not advisable (the fender liner sorta rests on it. So they did a very subtle 'pull' on it to get that little bit extra clearance.

Just a word on advice to anyone thinking of rolling the rear fender- be very careful. These fenders dont take rolling well from what multiple reputed shops told me.

I am sorry.. I have looked and looked and I just cant find it...

Stock rear M coupe wheels... what is the widest tire I can put on that before it rubs or I sacrifice performance?

(I assume that 40 is the best height?) I currently have 265 40 18 hankook ventus v12's and they seemed ok.. (literally only lasted me 6000 miles... but I also ran them pretty hard and did a smoke out session or 2)

so again,

Stock rear M coupe wheels... what is the widest tire I can put on that before it rubs or I sacrifice performance?

wondering what we all think to the 18" e92 m3 oems would be like...

fronts have et 29 8.5" the rears are a perfect et23 on a 9.5" rim.... id think that these would be fine with lots of front camber, say -2.8 ish??? i think these would look PERFECT!!

For those who are curious:

I'm currently running Rear 19x9.5 ET20 275/30 with .85" drop and there is no rubbing.

Does anyone have experience with a Front 19x8.5 ET32 or more aggressive offset? My next set of wheels is this and I want to know if there are issues with that offset on stock camber.

So you don't think 3mm more stick-out will be an issue? I currently have 8.5 ET35 and it looks flush with the fender already on the driver's side. For some reason the passenger side looks more inset.

Im running et 32 upfront and it needed camber to tuck in wheels, im
Running -2.5.... No rub at all and plenty of space, without the camber it would rub for sure.

How wide of a wheel? I have zero rubbing right now with ET35. 3mm is gonna screw me?

19" on a 8.5 width.... Stock suspension..... camber is set @ -2.5... with et32 i can just and i mean just glance the corner of the arch liner where the bumper meets the fenders... its not enough to rub through the liner and it takes every last drop of cornering G force but i can just see the gentle "scuff" of the tyre on the liner..............
when i get my coil overs in ill just add alittle more camber which i want anyway so its not an issue to me....... By the way this is on using every last drop of performance driving...

Assuming folks are running 235's on the front with the 8.5 ET32 setup. Do research on tire brand - there is significant differences between brands on the width of the tread shoulders.
