z4m replacements

At first, I thought there were no other cars other than a spyker c8 or a gallardo spyder that I'd replace my blown z4m with. But now... in 10 years or so.. I could see myself in one of these:

and hey, you can supercharge them

A local gentleman has one, I cream my panties everytime I see it....

That said, he got rear ended last year and not sure if it was by choice or a must, but he shipped it back to Germany for repair.

Are ANY notable amount of parts for the Z8 available here?

I LOVE the Z8!!

But I've already put my Z4m replacement plan into motion, next year is Exige, and 5-10 year is Gallardo Superleggera. I admit, I neverthought I would want to part with my M coupe, but I did haha.

There's a nice exige in the FS section...and it's "next year" now.

I love the Z8 as well, however, I've heard it isn't as thrilling as a Z4M. Anyone driven both to comment?

I saw that OMG looks amazing, UNFORTUNATELY I'm in Canada and you can't bring Elises or Exiges over the border so I'm stuck looking for a Canadian car (for 10k more) ugh.....

No idea on the Z8, but I test drove an Exige before I decided on the Z4M (I was coming from a factory Turbocharged Miata) and it's... well lets say its a go kart with a radio in it. Kidneys hurt after the test drive LOL.

Did BMW ever sort out the frame damages on the Z8?
From what I recall the aluminium frame bent pretty easily so you can't really drive the thing. Agreed it's a thing of beauty, pretty much like the Alfa 8C Competizione, crappy to drive but a true piece of art making wonderful sounds!

THIS. I have heard terrible things about the Al frame. Cool to look at but god forbid you get hit in one or go over a bump too fast

I have driven the Z8 a fair amount, its an awesome experience all around, but much diff than a z4mc. The retro styling combined with the modern features and e39 M5 powerplant is a lot of fun, and its a damn good looking car. I thought it was fairly refined and smooth. Its a much softer ride than our z4mc's, and it certainly wont hold up on a track IMO. This is a great car for backroads and 'leisure' spirited driving, not hardcore driving, even though its pretty fast. So yes, maybe not quite as thrilling... but its certainly a lot of fun for different reasons. It also gathers a lot of friendly attention, everyone loves the car.

Only thing that stood between me and getting one of those is that i'd need another 70k added onto my current z4mc budget to buy the right one.

If I had the coin, a 997 GT3 or GT3-RS would be at the top of my list. Realistically, I will probably get a used e92 M3 in a year or two. Might leep the Z4MC around though.

I plan to also buy a newer M3 but put then put a puffer on the Coupe.

There was a post no long back about a retro kit you could do to a Z4 to make it look like the Z8. If you could find a body damaged Z4 for a reasonable price, this would be an attractive option. The styling of the 8 with the handling of the 4 (sans the cool retro interior look).

I plan to be buried in mine. Cheaper and sexier than a coffin.

But then wouldn't you of regret not getting a roadster instead for open casket?

If it's the post I am thinking of, there were some serious fit and finish issues with that kit, namely the gap between the tires and the rear wheel arches. Not sure if larger wheels would fix that....there was a ton of room in there. Maybe a huge set of slicks????
