Abandoned BMW dealership nearby--
Thanks Nikki for your post elsewhere. Here's info abut the dealership (closed) in Oakville Ontario. Cool story!
http://www.endrasbmw.com/11/abandone...d-speculation/ Took a look and darned if it isn't about 10 miles away! Oakville. This building has been "maintained" since the dealership closed. They lost their license from BMW apparently. The article was written by Endras BMW who I believe is in Ajax. It's a kind article that shouldn't hurt the Oakville dealer principal's feathers. Far as I know, the Oakville store is still licensed as an Ontario dealer. I confirmed that the white car featured was in the showroom when Google maps ran their camera by. Photos were taken within the dealership. Interesting! Thought I would share it with you here. I've sicked a pro-photographer friend from a photo forum on it. He lives in Oakville. Best,

FWIW the dealership in Oakville now is Budd's. They're huge. Multi brands. We bought our M3 there, and had our 5-wagon serviced there.
There is another enthusiasts' store their, Cross Auto. Sam is incredible. He has done Dinan work for years. Budd's does it now, fwiw.

About that time, BMW purged a number of Cdn dealers. Somehow they didn't fit in to the great scheme of things.

Best use for those cars is on display somewhere, unless someone wants to do a full mechanical/electrical restoration.

Saturday 14th January--drove by. There's a for sale sign on the property. The showroom is empty.
Someone has plowed the snow. Even the interlocking brick sidewalks are In good repair. Sure would like to know the whole story. DaveL
