In any case, I'm still unsure about DSC vs. non-DSC
Likewise with Sport mode vs. non-Sport

Nope, Sport mode only changes the gas pedal mapping, so at WOT there's not difference between sport/non-sport.

I understand your point, but I'll have to disagree. If you drive so that DSC doesn't engage, then why turn it off?

I'd rather have the safety net in case a moron changes into my lane/runs a red light, there's oil/water/ice/gravel in the middle of a curve, etc. Could I recover the car myself? Probably, but why take the chance? There's no point in driving at 8/10s (let alone 10/10s) on the street in this car, that's what the track is for and you should definitely turn off DSC there.

You just shot yourself in the foot. Case closed. I win

jk. I agree with your argument that @ WOT, Sport mode won't change how power is put down.

ROFL, yes you win if you're dynoing your car without going WOT :P

I'm just too lazy to type long posts on my phone

Well in any case DSC kills the fun a little, so for me its either DTC or DSC off.
The original idea was that IF turning off DSC gets you a bit more power... you can drive a bit faster without getting a wheel slip (if you can manage that) but only when you turn it off.
