Sorry, last question (for now!)...if these are the Race versions, bear in mind that I have a roadster, do you think I will find these too loud with top down on the highway? That's kind what is scaring me away from the RPIs.

Roadster is actually better than a coupe for interior loudness.
The coupe tends to reverberate more.

Thanks Caddyshk. Now I just have to convince the guy. I was hoping he wold meet me in Allentown, PA when I am driving the car home but he doesn't have time to make the 200 mile round trip. Trying to find something else that works.

Stromung is a nice option, good sound, little to no drone, deep, but cans are heavy. Supersprint is a bit lighter. Can't go wrong with either.
Those Supersprint Race cans alone does provide some pops/burbles and agreed that they are quite a bit lighter than OE (I believed it was about 12 lbs vs 21 lbs). They do sound awesome, but was a bit too loud for me when I had them on for only about a week (I must be a wimp ). At certain RPMs, the center tunnel would vibrate somewhat. I felt too self conscious when I had them on during that short period of time since I got lots of stares (good or bad) from bystander whenever I'm on the throttle. I think I like being somewhat stealth when I need to speed

OK, I knew it wouldn't be my last question...

Just trying to figure out the best way to get the items back to Canada. I think I have it mostly figured out except for one thing...

The X Pipe won't fit in the car on the way home, especially if my son joins me. I am also thinking about bringing it all back with me this weekend when I fly home. I know I will have to pay for baggage so ignore that part. The question here is, can the X pipe "halves" be separated either easily or by cutting some kind of bracket that joins them (which I would have to reweld later). If I can do that, I can stack the two pipes and wrap them so that the dimensions are small enough to be checked on a flight.

Thoughts?

JM2C, but I'd find a different solution than cutting it.

....what about hanging it out of the trunk & tie the lid down?
