Problem with the Left Window
Left side window goes up and down like normal when I open/close the convertible top. But it does not move up with the switch on the door. I changed the switch and still have the same problem.
The window motor is still functional, but (get this) it only turns in one direction. If i push the button to roll the window up, the window goes up. If i push the button to roll the window down, the window goes UP. Note: Window still moves 1/2 inch down/up when open/close the door. Last edited by BU Z4; 03-19-2011 at 10:31 PM.. |

In order to do the reset, I need to roll the window all the way down, but I can't do that since the switch only closes the window when I push or pull the button.

Window works on top up/down and on door opening. Not an issue with the body control module. Replaced the dual window switch on drivers side, no help. Original switch operated the same as the new one. Original switch worked correctly at some point? No mods added in between? Sounds like a shorted or crimped wire in the door to me.
