Roebling Road PCA advanced run group with open passing Feb 16th and 17th. Just replaced my motor mounts with the Vibra technics "street" mounts and it made a huge difference in shifting feel and weight transfer on track. Ran consistent low 1:22's and one 1:21.5 my all time best on 245/275 NTO1's . Next time out going to try 265/285 Michelin sport cups on my way to a likely 265 square setup as I become more comfortable with the car. Beautiful day and a packed advanced group with a nice mix of cars . The fastest non Porsche GT3 cup car was my friends S2000, he ran a 1:20 and consistently in the sub 1:21 range with just KW V3's, 210whp on a tuned stock motor, and a 69 inch wing on 255 square NTO1's . He is def my target as my theoretical best lap time looking at my segment times is a 1:18 while his times are within 0.2 seconds of his theoretical best (he's getting every ounce out of that thing!)

Here is a video of my second session, lots of good action, with some pics of the weekend after .

Nice. What kind of filter did you use on your camera?

Great shots!

Any vids?

Let us know how fitting the 265/285 PSC works (offsets, fender rolling, spacers, etc.). I'd love to run a set-up like that, but I'm not sure about the fitment requirements (front has been done, not many have tried that size rear).

The link to my vid should be in front of the photos . Currently have Apex wheels 18x9 front and 18x10 rear in their usual Z4M offsets . My previous advans were 10.5 inch wide with 275 width wheels and did not rub so I think I will be good . Will let you know .

Duoh! The "worksafe" filter here removes view of links, so I missed that. I'll check it out at home.

Thanks for the details on the current set-up, and for future updates.

To be more complete my current wheels are Apex EC -7's 18x9 ET 31 front ,18x10 ET 25 . I'm running KW V3 with camber plates . -3.4 camber up front , with turner adjustable camber arms in the rear -2.4 rear.
The 265/35/18 285/30/18 Cups went on today with no rubbing during my testing . No fender mods , no spacers .

I meant on the video. I have a lot of trouble with glare. It looked like you had some sort of shade.

Post processing of just the windshield area to reduce the glare using Final Cut .

this is one of my fave cars on the forum, its utterly awesome!!!

Any static pics of the car please??

the wheel sizing is perfection the car looks like a mini exotic!!!

do you find the car drives better on the track with the Hardtop on?, im guessing aerodynamics are much much better, it may even add rigidity back into the chassis as the HT is made of up some substantial metal work inside...

You are too kind sir ,thank you ! The hardtop is definitely aerodynamically functional . I would estimate it would cost me 3-4 mph on the front straight at roebling as I am doing 146-150mph by GPS . At those speeds aero matters a lot , and I honestly love the look of it. It is a 65 lb weight penalty but even with it am at 3200 lbs with a full tank of gas so I don't mind it too much at my power level. It
is pretty awesome blowing the doors off of trailered 944's and Z06's running Hoosier slicks with my "street car" on lowly NTO1's . I will post some more pics later when I get home of my new 265/285 sport cup setup .

Here are some more good pics from the event and the Z4M with its big brother in my garage, a full bolt 2010 E63 M6 that runs 60-130 in 8.28 seconds! It actually makes the Z4M feel slow! Also a good shot too show the 285/30 Michelin cup on the apex 18x10 rear wheel.

Tried out my new 265/285 setup at Roebling Road

So this was my first track day with real rubber and camber up front. I have been using a 245/275 NTO-1 setup but even with my coilovers adjusted to max stiff in back and front camber at -3.5 i wasn't happy with the cars balance. The fact that I actually want the car to get loose now shows how far I've come . Given my cars FI and I will soon be upgrading to the new 525 kit i doubt i will ever want to go full square but who knows. As expected I picked up a full second from previous best on my home track Roebling road bc of the car having much better turn in. It is very neutral and honestly I couldn't go back to my old setup , I find understeer so annoying now. It is quite a handful at times and when the back goes it goes very fast, as I found out when I hit an oil spill in my first session . I think this is a pretty optimal setup now , and no rubbing at all front or rear . disclaimer( my front fender liner has been worn through for over a year in the usual spot). My fastest rolling lap was 1:20.8 and my theoretical best possible time is now down to 1:17.2 ( My fastest segments put together in my Aim solo software). Its going to be super beastly with an extra 50 whp as I am already consistently hitting 145-148 on the front straight. Here is a vid of my first session chasing my friend who owns the track record in a S2000 at 1:19.8.

Not sure if I like the rear spoiler, but I love the rear diffuser and the meaty rear tires!

Thank you sir! It looks perfect in person but I understand it's not for everyone. The spoiler diffuser combo has made the rear end much more stable under high speed braking and in the high speed corners, before them It was really squirmy braking from the high 140's , now its much more stable. Yeah the 285's do look meaty.

Thanks! Yep Dan is a crazy man for sure and a heck of a driver. My friend Eric in what would be a TTC S2000 ran a 1:19.8 that session with Dan close behind .
