19 x 9.5 et20 are these STICKING OUT?

on stock M suspension, I'm worried that with 285 wide tires mounted, they're gonna stick out way too far out of the fenders. Anyone else running this setup? am I better off with 19 x 9.5 et33?

On stock M suspension, 19x9.5 ET20 will only stick out 2-3mm at most. They will look much better than 19x9.5 ET33. 285 tire might look too fat on a 9.5" wheel. IMO, 265 and 275 fit better.

yeah, it looks like around 3mm, but I'm guessing the tires will add another 3-4mm =(

Should look pretty good, not extremely aggressive.
Most guys run 9.5 between +20 and +25.

you're fine with a 19x9.5 +20, but you might need to stick with a 275 tire to be safe. I had 19x10 +25 on mine with 275's and it was perfect. I might have been able to squeeze 285's on there, so you might be able to as well. It won't stick out though. It will be flush with the fender.

I don't recommend 285's on a 9.5" rim.

These sizes fit without rubbing.

Fronts 19 x 8.5 +38 w/ 1.5" Stepped Lip
Rears 19 x 10.0 +34 w/ 3.0" Stepped Lip

Tires - Nitto Invo 245/35/19 and 285/30/19

See this link for a members HRE set up.

Saw these in person. They looked great and fit with no modifications to the fenders.

19x10 +35 is still too tucked in. The optimal setup for this car is:

19x8.5 +32
19x10 +25

You can give or take 2mm for either the front or rear offsets if you'd like, but those are optimal.

If you have to use 19x9.5's in the rear, then you would want a +20 offset. In all cases though, a 285 tire is ok if you are on stock suspension and depending on the tire brand you use since some 285's are narrower than others (i.e Falken 452's). If you are lowered and dont want to run neg camber to compensate for the larger tire, then just stick to a 275. In addition, the 275's will be lighter tires as well.

unfortunately, I trusted a vendor with the recommendation, and the tires are already mounted. But yeah, the rears are 19x19.5 et20, and they stick out about 10mm with the tires on =/

I guess I'll get an aggressive fender roll to make it look better

If you are going to do the fender roll, PM me. It is easy to get wrong on our cars.

I can give some pointers that will save you a lot of heartache.

I also got the wrong front wheels in the mail, so I'll only have them on the car after August 9th

I know I know. I HAD a buyer lined up for my stock wheels, so I though, what the hell might as well sell and upgrade. Buyer changed his mind, started ignoring me, now I'm stuck with wheel problems. I'm sure the vendor will work something out for me though...

I still need another $3k for my blower fund

Take a few steps back... from there its hard to tell, but I would say it would look kinda mean. Or like a mexican :P

edit: no offense to anyone, around here most of the hispanics that work on their cars have their wheels sticking way out. Like a good six inchs or more.

Nothing that some suspension mods and a fender mod couldn't fix.

Shame you got bad advice. That set up is way too wide. If you put lowering springs on you couldn't drive down the street without major rub.

You would want some suspension mods that would allow you a large range of camber adjustability as well as a good fender roll to be able to tuck that much wheel/tire, but it can be done. The real question is - how hardcore do you want to get with it? I fit 18x10" wheels on my STi but the rear fenders had to be pulled, cut, and I had to hammer out the wheel well to go as low as I wanted to go. All that was on top of coilovers with camber plates.
