Quick question - specialized caliper tool needed for Z4M brakes
I plan to replace my brake pads this spring but I'm not sure if the Z4M brakes require a specialized brake caliper/piston tool or if I will be OK with just a universal tool.

RE: BBKs though...
I bought a spreader on eBay but it's useless because the spreaders angle slightly inward resulting in pistons not being pushed in 100%. In other words, cheap crap. How do you guys do it? I've read people use screwdrivers and paint scrapers, but doesn't that scratch the disc while you lever against it?

I use channel locks and the old brake pad to push piston back in..

I used a C-clamp to fully compress the piston before removing the caliper, and then this to push it back in just before reinstalling.
They sometimes sneak out a little after you compress them. Especially on the rear, because I was fiddling around for a long time replacing the parking brake shoes.
