$75 would be a GREAT price for a new part with no hassle or worry, but you are right, that seems way to easy. On my seat it seems that the leather is connected between the seat and the bolster so I would think it may be more difficult than that.

The side bolster of my driver's seat is worn and scuffed looking. Its an M seat with those big side bolsters. A local leather repair guy tells me he can re-dye that part of the seat to improve the look, so I think I'll get that done.

Well after confirming with 2 dealerships... that IS the correct part, and it IS $75.00 CAD.
Imola Red upholstery for the thigh support.

Does anyone have any idea how difficult this would be to put on myself? (i.e. tear the seat apart enough to get at it)
Because there's a seam that it attaches to, I imagine I'll be taking it to a qualified shop, but it's worth asking. Has anyone torn an M seat apart physically?

It's coming from Germany in about 10 days. I'll keep everyone posted on what the deal ends up being.

This is the side bolster and not the part that pulls out on the front of the seats? I would GLADLY pay that much to have it look new.

No, this is the part that pulls out under the thigh (Thigh support). Side bolsters are a different part #. See the diagram on the last page.

For bolsters you basically need to buy the whole seat cover

From Tischer:
52108040704 $991.17 $0.00 $792.94

COVER BACKREST, LEAT
