MMW N52 Supercharger
Haven't seen any thread on this yet but is anyone else following this progress? They had a pretty lengthy discussion on bimmerpost. I believe gavin at MMW plans to release the full kit this winter after nearly a year of delays to dial in the tuning.
Wonder what are the z4 forum thought on this? |

Its not to say the engine cannot be boosted ,but it will eventually suffer large component failure. Reality bites sometimes, I know. I was planning on boosting mine and had even purchased twin turbos, manifolds and stainless AR downpipes. |

^ I agree. I bet you could get away with very mild boost, say 3-4 psi, but you'll only get 25% more hp out of it. Not really worth it in the end considering the R&D, tuning, and hardware.
A mass-produced kit would run at least $4-5k. Would anyone pay that much for a kit plus install and still have a car that's down on power compared to an M? At least with the M54 you still have room to play. I just don't see it happening. I hope that it does, and that it works. I don't see it coming to fruition though.
