I normally don't like Porsches ...but this one is pretty sik... still doesn't compare to the uniqueness of an E86 though, imo

I have decided no photo of a Cayman does it justice.

I kinda like the imaginary version (yellow artists rendering).

I guess I'll have to see it in person. I can't rule out owning one in the future.

BTW, there are some days when I reflect on my experiences with a Cayman equipped with PDK and become just a little annoyed with the quirks I have overcome with the Z4M. Then I press the sport button and mat it. Problem solved.

New cars just don't do it for me, everything in the past 3 years is too big, too heavy, too expensive. The only cars that I can see myself driving aside from the e86 is the previous gen Boxster or S2000 - and only b/c if I'm looking for a 2nd toy, I want top down =)
Last 3 years? Atleast 10 years aside from a few cars that can be counted on 1 hand. Its the same comment that everyone on s14.net says about ALL the bmw's since the e30m3. And its true. I know that by todays figures people think 3200 lbs is light, but its not, its a PIG.

My sentiments exactly.

The new cayman is pretty universally well received as an attractive vehicle. I would concur. It certainly has a presence and fluidity the previous gen lacked.

However, it also lacks a certain character that for me the E86 coupe has. The coupe is just outrageous looking in a good way. The new cayman doesn't stir me like the 2005 Z4 coupe concept did. As soon as I saw the coupe concept, a NEED to have one emerged. Didn't get the same feeling with the new cayman.

Yes - I still think the previous generation Cayman looked better ... the new one is too Panamera-ish.

Also, based on those official pics ... the interior looks a bit dated. I think our E86 interiors look much more modern than that.
