How often does your Z4 kick your ass?
I've owned various forms of Z4 for almost 2 years, and every 2-3 months, I get my shin hit REAL bad by the dang door. I am nursing a bruise right now from a hit last week to my left shin. Not only that, but the shape of the door can take off some skin if you're real lucky. Maybe I am just really clumsy.
Am I the only one who does this every few months?!

I've had it happen on multiple occasions in multiple Z4's and as far as I can tell it's that I don't open the door fully and it comes and swings back and hits me in the shin. Always on dismount! I'm surprised more people haven't gotten knocked in the shin by the damn car! Maybe I need to be more careful.

I think I get what you're saying. Do you not open the door to avoid hitting the car next to you? I know with our cars especially these long doors can be a pain, even in my two car garage. Never had one come back though and hit my shin thankfully, but I can kinda see how that could happen if the door isn't opened enough.

Aggressive Door
I usually just jump over the door to get in the car, and I am by no means fast enough to have a leg out of the car until the door has a chance to stabilize. One of the joys of aging!
Oh, and just kidding about the Gurney jump! |
