Forum member?

Does this car belong to anyone on the forum?

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/m...311684765.html

Appears to be very clean. Would also like some feedback on the car, please.

Really interesting find. It doesn't look like he has extended leather like he claims. Regardless, assuming that's a clean carfax, that's a damn cheap Moupe.

I think he basically copied-pasted from another ad, but failed to notice the extended leather part.

Now the hard part is sealing the deal being out of state. I will probably never find a price like this for an M coupe in California.

Certainly worth a phone call and if you still have that warm fuzzy feeling about the deal, you can probably find a forumite who's local to take a look at it.

I'm pretty sure this is the same ad I was looking at in Spring 2011 when I was searching for an M Coupe.

At that time it had somewhere around 44,000 miles. I recall that clearly as it was a tie between this one and another I had found with 43k on it.

I never went to see this one. Took a look at the one I currently own and it was everything I wanted and a quick easy deal to trade in my E46 M3 and drive off with the Moupe.

I'm in Philly. I bought my roadster earlier in the year, so I looked at quite a few cars in the area.

If you can't find anyone in DC/Arlington, see if he'll meet me partway between Philly and Arlington. If you're really interested in this one, I could probably go down there for you.

Miles are on the high side but the car looks to be in great shape and sounds like it's been well maintained.

High side? That doesn't seem too high to me!

Mileage is on the high side for this model year but car looks to be very clean for this mileage.

A Z4 M, particularly a Roadster, is usually not your average 12,000-15,000-18,000 mile per year kind of car as many who own them don't use them as a daily driver and only drive them on the weekend or live in colder climes where they're only driven in fair/warmer weather. This car is 5 years old with over 60,000 miles and that's 12,000/year, definitely not low mileage.

My M Roadster is a 2006 and when I bought it in July it was 6 years old with 31,800 miles, only 5,300 miles/year, definitely low-mileage, but I also paid a bit more than this car (also had Extended Leather). I sold my 2000 S2000 with 90,000 miles on it and that averaged only around 6,900 miles/year.

It does look like the car was well-maintained, at least by the current owner, even better if he is the original owner. Original owner cars that have full service records and no accidents reported are usually good finds if they're in good condition.

The price is pretty fair if the car is in as good a condition as it looks, the service history is good, and it hasn't been in any accidents. The price could be lower because of the mileage, 2nd or 3rd owner, or been in an accident.

What in particular did you look at when purchasing the M coupe? Were the things to your own preference? or can you tell me what kind of things I should look out for?

Thanks man, I'll keep you in mind. I will definitely reimburse you for your time and mileage.

Thanks for your feedback. I agree with you on everything, lol. Like most said, the car appears to be clean and well-maintained. I don't mind buying the car with 60k on it, as long as the maintenance records checks out. After all, I'm buying it so it can be driven. I'll be driving it daily, but the commute to work is so short (less than 2 miles), I won't actually be driving everyday. Only thing that will get me running away is if there is an accident. PPI will be done and if there are problems, the owner should agree to adjust price accordingly.

Hello? I am a new Owner of a Z4. I am guessing I have to make a few posts before I can start my own thread. I bought my new car to me last friday. From what I have read on this forum, I got the deal of the century. 07 Z4 with only 35000 miles for $21000. It is amazing what people will do when they are angry. I will explain this later. I am waiting for a plumber to show up to fix a broke pipe!
