Guys, I found a great local Z4M 2008 *Coupe* fully equipped.

Seller declared a minor accident, and shared pictures before repairs.

Here is the description:

• Black ext
• Black Int
• Heated seats
• Navigation
• 30,000 miles
• Autocheck score of 88
• Last transaction was in October 2010, and sold at ~25k

What is a fair price to pay for car?

Wet pictures are a big no no.

Get a PPI done, and ask for better, dry pictures without a flash that he took.

^whs about dry weather pics. It *looks* purely cosmetic but wet pics lie.

guesstimate: $28K +/- $500 if damage is repaired by a reputable shop w/documentation

Guys, the BMW Z4M is fully repaired, the seller was nice to declare the accident, and had access to pictures before it was repaired.

I will post new car pictures, of how it looks today. It was beautiful, I saw it today!!! I still have concerns on value on car that had a minor accident, and was repaired.

Prices suggested by other posters seem way to low to me. I would get a ppi. Also get the vin number and check with BMW about the service history.

I just paid 32k about 2 months ago for an 08 black sapphire/sepang bronze coupe with 21,000 miles, perfect condition, and no accidents.... Not that it means anything.

Does he have an asking price?

Also the last transaction price seems suspect to me. A two year old coupe would not sell for 25k unless something was wrong. Where did you get this information?

I am assuming the last transaction was prior to the car got fixed from the "minor" accident. Because the price is way too low! The value should not taken a huge hit if there are evidents of just minor accident (maybe the bill/invoice from the body shop? And pictures of before). How much is the seller asking? The driver seat looks really beat for just 30k miles! Maybe the previous owners were big

I searched google with VIN, and was able to find a list of car, and it was listed at 25,400$. The car was sold in October 2011. Today the seller is asking 31,500$.

If the buyer paid 25, 400$ plus transport fees from USA to Canada, plus other fees...., I can speculate it cost him anywhere from 26 to 27k.

I offered him 1,000$ on top of his cost price.

So my final price will probably be around 28k.

He will provide me all costs associated with transport from USA to Canada. He is being transparent, and really got lucky with purchase. Timing worked in his favor, he purchased car at the worst time to sell it, in the NORTH EAST right before winter

Something doesnt seem right. There is no way in hell a 2008 Z4MC went for $25.4k at that time! That being said, i think your offer is reasonable for a car with accident record. Good luck

And i forgot to mention for a 2008 with less than 30k miles on the Odometer. Could not even touch a 2007 for that price

I too can't believe it traded that cheap, I'd be more concerned about WHY it sold at that level back then, as it coulda been something much worse than the damage posted above that looks mild to me, even though pics are wet. You could potentially be overlooking a much worse prior history just because of the minor recent history you've been made aware of.

^ this could also imply that when it was sold, the mileage was at 25k, not the price? Now that it has 30k on the odo. Regardless if you found an old ad with a $25.4k offer, thats that.

if it checks out and is clean prior to that minor looking damage above, it probably is worth in the high 20's if not low 30's. again, 25k prior sale seems way to low based on the info we have here now, headscratcher....

Here is more clarification

In October 2011, it was sold at 25,400USD with 29,600 miles.
The seller in October 2011, worked at at a BMW dealer, named "The Automaster Motor Company" located Shelburne, VT.
The buyer was from Montreal, QC and imported car into Canada.
The car still has full warranty till April 2012.

Today, February 2012, car has aprx 31,000 miles, and seller is asking 31,500$ CAD
I'm planning to offer him 1000$ over his cost, so about 28,000$ CAD

I booked a full inspection on car this week. I will keep you posted, if I find anything weird.

Seller got a deal and is trying to flip the car? I saw a totally clean coupe go for 25k last summer (but it was an 06 and had 40k) and saw the buyer selling it for almost 30k a couple months later...

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!! What a car.

Ok, so i had a chance to bring car to a bmw mechanic, and had a chance to sit in passenger seat on departure part of trip.

On the return part, I drove car back!! Wow, this car is solid and sticks to road.

Mech tested everything on car and found the following
1. broken plastic on passenger under front wheel - very minor
2. Scuff on front bumper - very minor
3. Small ding on passenger bottom door
4. Repair of passenger side was done properly - fender and door
5. sub woofer is not working properly - warranty should fix that
6. Washer jet driver side not shooting water - warranty should fix that
7. Road test - excellent
8. Tires 90%
9. belts are cracked, need replacement
10. Passenger xenon seems bad, it powers up very late - should be fixed by warranty

I'm planning to give seller a 29.5$ offer.

Driver paid 25.4$ plus 3k (daytime lights, transport, federal inspect, provincial inspect, AC tax, recall letter, reset check engine, ....etc)

Il est en vente sur lespac depuis quelques mois... Quel dealer te l'inspecte ? Tu dois faire vérifier tes bolts de sprokets de cams au pc. Moi sur le miens, ils ont aussi changé: tuyau power steering, quelques speakers, antenne du gps qui faisait défaut. Voila et good luck.
