Caliper Refinishing

I painted my calipers with VHT bright blue. Its not bright at all and that's what I was looking for

Before,

First or second coat

Took the liberty to repaint my hubs and wheel bolts

I sanded down all the casting lines and dimples to get a smooth finish
]

Same caliper as before picture without the clip.

Done

Thanks, I drive it all year long. Still not convinced about the color but at least the hard part is done if I want to repaint

I'm not sure on the color either, it doesn't stand out that much.

I think that was the OP's goal. Not have it stand out to the point where everyone walking by will notice. Just clean enough for an enthusiast to notice.

Definitely didn't want to stand out with my measly stock calipers. I figured this was a good balance.

The options were
Silver: everything on the car is silver
Black: not very interesting
Red: not a race car, not brembos
Blue: that'll work

If I redo it, it'll likely be with g2 in estoril or montego blue

So far so good no chips or flaking. We'll see what the pressure washer does

Well if you ever want a real big brake kit let me know. I'm considering selling my Stoptechs next year. They are specific to the 3.0si =)

Good call. That looks really nice.
If I wasn't so lazy I'd do that to mine.
Would go well with Interlagos Blue.

looks great mate, you don't always have to have the red light on to attract people to the red light district. I think it looks classy, esp on silver. good job.
