I dont get it .....
I thought the 1 coupe came with an ass load of factory defects? Anyways, I basically had a few 1 coupe owners say that z4 m 's are garbage....lol I just left it at that.... |

It's a newer car. Yes, the 1M is a "superior" car---suspension and chassis wise. It should be faster than the Z4M as well in the straight line and on most tracks. It is also cheaper to mod.
But, worthy of "trash talking" a z4m? Nope. I still wouldn't trade my M coupe for that, even though I respect the design that went into the 1M. I can't believe some 1M owners would be that insecure to trash talk down a z4m. People that trash talk other people's cars are idiots.

the 135i is just a german civic. Don't get me wrong, but it just is. The design is not appealing and it certainly is CHEAPER to modify. The z4m will always be the real driver's car as to having a piggyback tune with hpfp (high pressure fuel pump) failure. For us, S54 is already highly tuned, but we can always go for the F/I option and still smoke them. Don't forget that they are also 1k rpm more limited than us. To each its own, but I took the Z4MC over the 135i when I had the option to do so, and I really don't regret it. If I were to go for factory F/I, the new Audi S4 would be the car. Just an APR tune and you're putting down 399whp. True story.

Do they realize their HPFP lemons?
Is this on another forum? If so...link. I'd prefer the not have my car loaded with electronic damping and assisted steering. |

Just tell them that their argument is sound... nothing but sound. WGAF what somone else thinks. They can "justify" their spending anyway they want. Every car has a fan base. So, they are fans of the 1 series. Congrats to them! At the end of the day, it still has a BMW emblem on the front/rear (and a bunch on the sides). If someone on another site wants to talk crap about another car. Whoopie.
Personally, I like the 1 Series. I did not consider one when I was looking, as I wanted a two seat roadster. Wife will probably get one of those when it's time to trade in her '04 325Ci.

Those people are idiots. All you had to do was ask any random person walking by which car they would rather have - the 135i or the Z4M - and the 1er crowd would have been embarrassed. I wouldnt really hate on anyones car, especially a bmw, because thats not my style, but those people were clearly clueless dbags.
The Z4M has more hp, better brakes, suspension, etc etc stock for stock than a 1 series. |

Not a fan of the 1 series, to me it looks like a 3 series with Downs.
So these guys just started making fun of your car? Why do I feel there is more to the story. ;P |

Cheaper to mod, absolutely. Over heat on track stock with tons of problems from injectors and coils going bad often to blown turbos rattling wastegates and super hot oil? Absolutely. N54 is not a good engine for performance. If you want a fast torquey car for the highway that's cheap to mod and accept that you will likely have to pay the piper at some point in the near future then yea its a great car.

Should've overnighted parts from Japan...2 of these, the big ones, to some people the respect is more important, you owe that 1er driver a 10sec car, more than you can afford pal...////////////MMMMMMM
