Why are you so far down in your seat? Are you under 5 feet tall? Just wondering.

Car looks clean!

Thanks Abner, it's been wet sanded and cut a few times since I got it last year, it's taken quite a bit of work

Yep original paint, BMW clear is not known for its thickness but it is really really hard so if you cut it right it shines like crazy.

No matter what, any paint job- factory or otherwise- is not going to look as great with a paint and buff as it will after a good wet-sanding and polish to level the clear... you might consider it, or if you've never done it consider taking it to a high end detail shop and let them get after it.

Think that it would help on Red - I would be scared to death they would take off the clear coat - all I have is swirl marks and the odd scratch but they do bother me

undoubtedly would help - if your anxious about the wet-sanding you could just use a good cutting compound and see how that suits your fancy?

it's really possible to screw up your paint though, that's my disclaimer...

Yep factory, the paint had a hard life from the previous owner but I think it was garaged most of the time, they're almost flawless.
