Yes, it is good to have the mounts installed first.

However the hardtop can be temporarily secured with tie-down straps in rear. The front already has a locking mechanism.

Yes I could ship the hardtop but the buyer would need to arrange shipping and insurance. I can build a crate for the hardtop and drop it off at a hub if needed.
