OEM Exhaust Alignment

Hello,

I have a 07 z4m coupe. I just realized that the OEM exhaust is hanging lower than normal from the rear. Is there a way to adjust the position of the rear mufflers?

Thanks

Use the two bolts connecting to the x pipe to adjust. Tighten or loosen each bolt separately to adjust to your preference.

Also, by turning the flange to different positions to adjust the direction of the adjustment..

HTHs,

Do you mean where the muffler connects to the x pipe near the rear axles? Thanks for your help!

Yes, it can be baffling at start but at least in my car the way to get the mufflers to rise I had put the flanges vertically and started bolting the “top” bolt to the point I needed to back off as it was now too high. One side could not be risen as much but enough to look spot on.

You need to make sure all mounts and supports are still good. Otherwise you will be chasing your tail.
