My gutted OEM mufflers with custom tips

So after doing a couple of sets for others members on differenst forums, I decided to do my mufflers as a winter project.

I didn't take pics of the gutted interior but they are identical design to those mufflers I did last year:

I also decided to change the 4 tips. I took/cut the 4 tips from the Magnaflow mufflers that are on my Z3MC because I will put turn down pipes on them anyway. I also did a black high temp coating on them. Here is the result:

And here is how they look on the car (note that the CCW Lm20 goes on my E46 325 XIT, the Z4MC will be on ACS Type 2 with better fitment):

Great work. You can also unplug your bulb from the rear reflector. Wont throw any codes

Good stuff. I certainly don't regret doing my muffler mod. What wheels are those?

Thanks guys

I will remove the bulb from reflectors, good to know they won't throw any code. Thanks for the advise.

I will make a video when I will be able to take the car. Still winter over here...

Wheels are CCW Lm20 18X8 et38 and 18x9 et38, not a good fitment for M Coupe. They will be perfect for my daily driver E46 325 xit.

I'm very interested in doing this mod. Please explain your approach to modifying the inner passages. I'm looking for something a little more "throaty" than raspy for my non-M 3.0Si coupe.

I took the car today. I have straight pipe catless Supersprint section 1 and gutted mufflers. The difference between this and stock isn't that big finally. Nothing to make a video about... I taught it was going to be louder be really decent for daily driving.
