Help with SES and fault codes
Hi all. Any help with this would be appreciated.
Car: 2007 Z4Mc. -74k miles. -Euro headers (o2 relocated) -BMS Exhaust -ESS tune. Symptoms: SES Light -2FdA: Crank case ventilation, system check -2CFA: Throttle value potentiometer 2 -2d09: Throttle value -2CFB: Throttle value adaption value -2A1C: Tank filling level, plausibility -2C7F: Aftercat o2 sensor trim control, bank 2 -2C2B: Precat o2 sensor systemcheck, bank 1 Additional Notes: -Battery replaced by dealer 3 weeks ago -About 60 miles prior to SES, car stumbled at idle, once, briefly. It is usually rock solid at around 900prm, but in this instance, at a stoplight, it plunged briefly to about 500 for no apparent reason. Ran fine from then on. -About 20 miles prior to SES, I filled the tank. I am sure that the cap was put back on securely I cleared the codes yesterday. Drove for about 10 miles today, no SES. About 4 hours later, drove another 10 miles and SES re-appeared just before I got home. Ran the codes again, and the only one present is "2FdA: Crank case ventilation, system check". Seems to be driving fine. Any thoughts? I'd like to have an idea before I head to the shop. Thanks in advance |

Positive crankcase ventilation sounds like the PCV is plugged.
I once got a handful of codes that looked like these on my E39M5 and it turned out to be the MAF. But since you reset the codes and the crankcase ventilation code reappeared, I'd check out my PCV.
