OP, I think crfine88 tried to do this, or something very similar to this before going forced induction. I believe it was more of a headache to him than he imagined. It's not as plug and play as one may think. Check out his modification journal.

the CSL intake is mafless, so you'd need to convert to a Alpha n management style which uses sensors instead of the MAF meter

Alpha N tuning is 1-2 thousand euro alone! It'd sure sound gorgeous though... DO IT!

A CSL or CSL-copy intake with a decent Alpha-N tuning will most definitely produce gains!

the only problem is the stock intake is actually really well designed........having taken mine to pieces the engineering in that thing blew me away..

I reckon most of the gains from a CSL intake conversion are due to the removal of the MAF sensor anyway than a substantial improvement in design.

your probably correct ;-) Alpha n tuning is a real expensive game.... ESS charge serious money for their Alpha tunes, im glad my s/c kit runs alpha software, its sooooo smooottthhhh....., no having to worry about replacing expensive MAF sensors.

I still think you should do it........
If i had the spare cash i would! CSL intake, cams, a tune, exhausts... It'd be a beast.

Like Beedub stated above, the tune alone is very expensive. The price of the tune and the parts envolved was with-in a couple hundred dollars of The VT-1 kit from ESS, so I cut my losses and made the jump into the FI world. Don't get me wrong, the sound, looks and performance of the the CSL airbox is awesome! I just chose to take another route

just curious, What kind of Hp would someone be looking at with the full CSL package? The reason i ask is because in the add that was posted the guy says 400hp but online it says the CSL had around 355hp.

I've been quoted 1200 for the alpha n tune, which really isn't that much, especially if your MAFS is malfunctioning, and you really want that sound
