That's pretty slick looking. Just FYI for anyone browsing the boards, I'm still looking for a Z4M Coupe. PM me if you've got one for sale!

I could just be splicing hairs here, but the reason our car is rated 3hp less from the factory is due to the exhaust packaging constraints - there wasn't any "detuning" done.

Not detuned, but tuned differently.
Our cars have a different DME than the E46M3.
The Z4M has a newer MSS70 DME

No way... I feel like a freaking idiot.. I picked mine up in IL and before I drove back I tried looking up the AUX for the car.. well i only found that threads about installing the ashtray one and such.. so i was like DAMN.. I guess no Iphone tunes for the 20 hour drive..

then I read this and you mention the "STOCK" locations.. and I was like huh? and I run out to the car and sure enough.. there's a freaking AUX in input..

i feel so dumb. lol.

Yea, I wasn't sure what you meant by that. Yea we're on the newer DME supposedly running the E46M program, but it must be a little different, considering we can't just run a straight E46M flash

LOL - I had no idea my car had one for months, until I saw the aux plugged in on another Z4, looked for it on my car and yep, had one too

Sorry DJLogan, I've pretty much set my mind on the M. Also, FYI, I've been pre-approved up to $30,000; I figure that adds to my credibility a bit. Thanks!

I have been through the E46 M3 and regular 3 series coupe. At the end of the day the M3 and 3 series coupe are STILL a 3 series. lol There is nothing magic about a M3. I still think its dog slow in OEM fashion and I am an owner until tonight. lol

The Z4M is a detuned 330hp version of the E46 M3's 333hp S54... That's a fact. Both will be fine for daily driving, both would be fine for long drives (to a point), and both would do fine at a track..

Heck I almost traded my Z4MC and M3 for a DAILY DRIVER Audi R8 V10....
My point is for day to day outings the Z4MC and Z4C will do the job and they look pretty much the same IMO.

The owner-select already said its more about his situation and needs, so thats his choice. I was just offering another aspect if it was the look he was going for.
detuned?

Well, today I officially became a Z4M Coupe owner... purchased a 2007 IB Coupe and drove it from Chicago to Cleveland... and holy shit, this is one hell of a car. AMAZING.

Pics coming soon, but it was raining on the drive home, so she's dirty.
