Best performance bang for the buck mod

Hey guys,

In your honest opinion, which mod had the best performance to cost ratio? I am thinking of getting struts and want to know peoples opinions. I do not want to pay for something and not feel the difference.

Anyone do any performance mods on their M they can really feel?

that's hard for anyone else to answer for you.

what are you trying to achieve?
what do you feel is lacking?
do you track the car?
etc.....

IMHO, out of the box the M is already a performance superstar and there's not a whole lot that can be done (for cheap) that will improve on it's performance appreciably.

The things that come to my mind are moreso perceived improvements. That is... for cheap, a short shifter (ZHP) and / or CDV change will produce a nice response.

Zeckhausen CDV was cheap, quick instant gratification.......but I wouldn't undo anything I have done.

Struts Question-I could tell a difference when I went to KW V3s, I picked them up lightly used and feel that was $$$ well spent but it depends on where/how you drive whether you would notice a difference.

I have gone through a few cars in the past few years and almost always the first few mods are wheels/tires, suspension, braces, short shifter as that's where I obtain the most improvement in driving satisfaction but its all VERY subjective.

Garage List
It sounds like the CDV is the most appreciated mod I hear of and for $30 it's hard to beat!
