Forgot-about feature on Z4

After parking in the garage at work this morning, i walk about 30 feet or so and look back and notice the lights are still on (i never do this with the gong gong sound to remind you), so i walk back towards the car and in a second or 2 the lights go out. I must have hit the high-beam stalk when exiting the car by accident activating the "pathway lighting". What i thought was cool was that the xenons stayed on and the rear "brake force lights" illuminate (the inside brake lights)

it's just parking light in the rear("not brake force lights") + low beam

aka WALK-ME-HOME feature.

Maybe there has been a running change, the inside circle halfs stay lit on mine and they call it "pathway lighting"

How do you activate the Walk me Home lights?

I've always scratched my head and ignored how the car sometimes had the lights on and sometimes didn't when i got out of the car at night.

Maybe different on 04 and later models, but i just checked and inside "brake force lights" are activated along with low beam xenons, pathway or WMHL are done by pushing the light stalk forward with the key out of the ignition.

i have factory 04 HID lights without the DRL activated

.. when i push the stock forward it stays there and activates the HID high beam lights. when i pull the stock backwards (towards me) it activates the inner headlight aka the halogen high beam lights.

ill have to try this feature right now in the garage..

any more hidden gems about the Z i must know?
