I’m glad you’re ok and enjoying it. The blue ridge is my favorite part driving down to NC to visit the family.

It’s also the one thing that sucks with small cars these days. No one looks for us just like how bikers encounter. On my way into work last year had a car carrier creep into my lane while on a bridge. I was on the retainer wall side by his right back tire of the truck I know if he used his mirrors he could see me and as I watched him creep more in my lane I drifted towards the wall more and locked on the brakes wailing on the horn as I watch the trailer pass me by almost half in my lane before he decides to drift back into his lane with the back of the trailer so close to scraping down my drivers side. Luckily no contact but wtf moment in the coupe.

Congratulations on the purchase, and for surviving the near miss! I had the same thing happen on I-81 in VA; I'm sure the truck never saw me. I was on the right hand side and had the shoulder to work with, so I was able to move over and punch the loud pedal. Still gave me a fright.

Congratulations on the new purchase! I'm a Z4MC owner in central PA. We should get the local coupes together for a ride. I've never had the experience of another coupe anywhere near mine or seen another M in the wild. Would be fun.

I'm in the Muncy area. About an hour away. Anyone else in? As soon as we get some good weather that is.

Congrats! Did you sell your M2 to get into a Z4? How'd you like the M2?

No it was sold to take advantage of the market and put aside for the 2023.

I loved the M2 very much, but I want what I believe will be the last great fully ICE M car in the next iteration M2. The zed is to be a stablemate.

Are you going to mpact this year? I will be in the green field. Not sure any infield tickets are left, but it would be fun if a bunch of us could drive there together.

ETA: Just checked, there are green field tickets still available.

As someone who owned a Z4M and now has an M2C, I would be curious as to your thoughts on both. I unfortunately let the Z4M go quite a while ago so my memory is fuzzy. Was your M2C a manual?

Mine was a manual.

I love both. The Z4M feels more raw, but not unrefined, and there's a vast difference in power and therefore snappiness. I think both are predictable though, and perhaps the M2C's rear will step out more because of the power upsetting the balance of the suspension than just the power in and of itself.

I like the simplicity of the Z4M and the steering much more.

I now understand what the modern BMWs are trying to mimic with "sport +" steering. The Z4M is definitely a heavier feel communicates what the front end is doing. The "sport +" steering is trying to mimic that heaviness but it doesn't do as good a job at transmitting what the front end is doing.

The Z4M is also more rigid and flat through corners.

It'll be a worthy stablemate next to my next M2C for sure.
