Hi, I was look for cheaper oil and I found some brands called Liqui Moly, Motorex Power Synthetic and Red Line Oil. Are there any good, can it cause damage to my engine? Please I need help, thank you.

Those are all good options. I ve never heard of Redline and cheap together, but Redline would be a great option

Ha, an oil thread! This would get you banned on M5Board - joking. There is no holy grail. Liqui Moly is a high quality oil - I use it in my Merc SUV. That said, you have an S54 engine, a variant of a race engine with > 100 hp/L of displacement that was developed specifically with Castrol 10-60...what is the compelling indication to change? With synthetic oil, you are only needing a change every 7500k miles or yearly if you drive less.

I would not own an engine like the S54 and then cheap out on the oil. That's just disrespectful to that beautiful machine.

Lots of folks use Redline, and I like supporting an independent company like that more than a conglomerate in partnership with BMW.

I go with Redline because it's easy to get all my oil needs in one place -- engine, trans, diff, and motorcycle engine/primary.
