Unrelated but you shouldn't rest your hand on the shifter. See:

Plus for performance driving you want to get used to having both hands on the wheel, so it's a good habit to pick up.

Well... Glad you told me this!

I guess it's just a bad habit I'll have to get rid of now lol.

Oh, and believe me, two hands are on the wheel when I'm driving hard. My "lax" driving position is one hand wheel one hand shifter. That's gonna change now I guess haha.

Ha! Never try to drive with both hands on your knob. Even if not planning to wave.

I usually get a thumbsup from Z3 owners, I have only seen one other z4 coupe in houston, and it was the guy who cut my hair. Z4 roadies never even give the time of day.
