Sound Shops-OC/LA Calif.

Can anyone recommend a shop that knows BMWs in the Orange County or LA area?

i just went to beach city motor sports in long beach(562/218.5000). the majority of shops i found in particularly costa misery(mesa) were shady & had a ton of BBB complaints/issues. talk to efren - he installed my basslink this weekend and i was very pleased...

Tell him the girl with the white z4 sent you.

Gold Star Audio in Irvine is good, reasonable prices and decent service. I like that they carry Arc Audio.

Audio Advice in La Cresenta, CA. One of the best places you can go. Devon, the owner of the shop, does incredible work. He helped me build a $15K custom setup in my old G35 a few years back, which later won me a 1st place trophy in sound quality competition.

By all means, avoid Al & Ed's. Actually, avoid chains completely. They cut corners and don't have the genuine interest in doing the job right compared to the guys at the independent shops.

I've been to Al % Ed's and needed to make 2 more trips to have them correct a faulty wiring issue. I didn't have the time to fix it on my own and regretted the decision. Since then, i've only done work on my own, or used Audio Advice in La Cresenta, CA.

335audioman,

I get your opinion on A&E as a whole, but some of the stuff coming out of their W Hollywood location looks good, and on MUCH higher end cars than ours.

That's the only reason I suggested, however if it was my car, I'd probably do the work myself as well, that way I'm the only one to blame!

Al & Ed's in WH is a really good shop, I have to agree. They are very expensive though.

Best in LA is Competition Soundworks, bring your black card though
