FS: Z4M RDSport mufflers
From what I've learned in different forums, this is the only set on a Z4M in the world. I've never heard of another E85/6 having it. I'm only getting rid of it because I wanted to be louder (31 years old here) so got my RPI's now. There's about 4 Z4M's in my area including mine but they're all stock, so let me explain how my car sounded as mods were added with time: I bought the car in 2011 with RDSport cans already installed. It was the only mod the car had and I loved the sound! Had a low growly tone and from the inside a lot of times sounded almost like a muscle car. From the outside, people complimented the sound it made, and by people I'd like to point out that one of them drove a Viper SRT10 and the other a Lamborghini Gallardo. They stated it didn't only sound German but also Italian. I did a bit of research on RDSport (racing dynamics) and they're actually from Milan Italy. They worked with BMW M to make their performance exhausts (back in the day I suppose). I then installed European headers and DKF S-pipe. Obviously the RD's sounded a bit more aggressive but no drone, no annoying sound, and could still carry a conversation with my passenger without having to speak up. I got more compliments from people that heard it but in my honest opinion, I liked it more before the new mods because the low growly tone became a bit of more of a higher pitch due to headers and S pipe. The cans are now washed and cleaned but you could probably polish them a bit more. The production date reads "may 2007" so they do have a few swirls, scratches, scuffs, and even a slight ding when I backed up into something and hit the can at the bottom. These imperfections do not affect performance or sound, and once installed cannot be seen unless your car is on a lift, other than that the tips section are still chrome and that's what people will see. Here's what RDSport wrote on their site; "EXHAUSTS At RDSport we built our first BMW performance motor back in 1982, and for the last 30 years we have been devoted to bringing you engines that are the most performing, reliable, and true to the original BMW spirit as possible. Exhaust systems are an integral part of the engine and are closely related to an engine's performance. When you choose an exhaust for your car, you will find a great variety of choices, styles, and materials. Yet, regardless of all these choices, only a handful of these suppliers have ever built an engine, thoroughly understand the interaction between the engine and the exhaust system, let alone tested their system on proper and accurate engine dynamometers. Unfortunately, on modern day cars, most aftermarket exhausts do not deliver the power gains that are advertised, and almost always replacing a section of the exhaust other than the rear silencer requires some sort of engine software to make sure that the car runs reliably and without throwing codes. Most exhaust manufacturers are really good at bending pipe and welding, but don't have the slightest idea of how an engine works, and cannot provide you with a complete solution. It may be tempting to buy the latest hot-item of a forum group-buy, the burnished titanium add-on tips may look very cool, and the price may be the best ever (you should ask yourself why), but ultimately you are left scrambling on the internet for a solution to the CEL always coming on, the supplier has no idea how to help, and before you know it you have a cannibalized car that is not running as it should. At RDSport we build engines, and we design our exhausts to work with our high-performance engines. If a part doesn't make power, we simply don't make it. If we sell it, we have tested it and we provide a complete solution that works together. If we use a metal matrix catalytic converter, we offer the software that goes with it." I took a lot of pics but will only post a few here. If interested, I can send you all pics taken. Sold AS IS and buyer pays for shipping from Zip code TX 78589, as well as Paypal's 3% fee unless you're good with friends and family option.

They look superb for their age. RD is highly reputable in the E46 M3 crowd, so for those who are unfamiliar, they're quality.
GLWS! ... Should've bought my RPI's |

I will weigh them once I get home and update this info. I would assume they weigh less the OEM but then again, I have no idea how much OEM weighs as I've never had them

I have 25lbs in my head. So 50lbs for both sides for OE cans.

OEM is 22lbs each side from the quick search I found on forums (according to Ron Stygar). My scale wasn't picking up the weight of the RD's, but they feel like ~12lbs each.

Here's a link to my video of the RDSport muffler sound. Keep in mind this is the only mod in the car at that point I recorded it (no headers or Spipe).

"Black Friday" sale starts now. If you purchase anytime this week before the end of Saturday 11/25/17, they're yours for $1,050, SHIPPED!
Common guys, these mufflers were close to $3k when new.

As a guy that's been through 3 sets of cans. I think your at a little bit of a disadvantage. There is almost no information on these. So folks are buying an unknown quantity/ sound. They aren't made of an exotic metal, but your asking for a premium. I would consider some kind of limited day return policy. Just a thought.

On a set of used mufflers purchased off the forums? That's an awful idea; between shipping costs, potential damage liability, etc etc etc... Asking for a hassle. Similar to when purchasing new - tough luck if you don't like the noise, don't take the gamble.

Agreed on there being limited information, but the seller has been quite detailed with his description/pictures/video. Aside from maybe a couple other videos ('flyby', in-car, etc.) I think the OP has done his part. I certainly wouldn't advise a return-policy, just some patience to find the right buyer for these. GLWS!

Thanks for the support Eson and rockstar!
Fdagen, thank you for your opinion, it's feedback and I accept all kinds, so again thank you. I don't believe asking for that price SHIPPED compared to the original price is considered premium. You are correct, not much info on these mufflers for the Z4M, but Racing Dynamics is very well known with other Bimmer models. I do agree with the guys stating that a return policy is just a big no no. I've never paid for something and expected a return if I don't like it, specially car parts. I'm responsible for what I'm buying. If I end up not liking it, well that's just how it goes. I have more videos of the RD's before and after installing the Euro headers and DKF S-pipe if anyone is interested!

I guess you guys have a different opinion of folks on these forums than I do. These have been listed for 20 days. They look like most every other can out there. You can t tell much about the sound from videos. Ask anyone that has owned a set of RPIs. I was just saying you may want To do something to sweeten the deal or give some confidence to the buyer, seeing as how this is one of the only sets in existence.

I'll post videos later of the RD's with the catless headers and S Pipe Beedub! (can't believe you wanna get rid of your RPI's, they sound so good bro!)
Fdagen I agree with what you're saying man, can't argue that. I hated the way RPI's sounded in videos (except for the video that convinced me to buy them). Real sound sounds glorious! Only thing to sweeten the deal would be to cut the price even more but if that's the case I may as well keep them in case I want to go quieter at any point.
