Genuine CSL wheels on ECS tuning.

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Just got an email update that genuine CSLs are available from ECS tuning for 2259.95 plus free shipping

These are for actual CSLs and a great price for an otherwise unavailable product.

I've already purchased two sets in my life so I am good but just wanted to post this if anyone was looking for some.

These rims look SWEET on our cars.

Daym, I wish these were available back in May. Ended up buying the ZCP's instead.

Do you know if the CSL front would sit flush using a 245f/275r combo on an MC? No spacer needed for an MC, right? I know the ZCP front sit a bit more inward compared to the OE 18s.

the front needs a 10mm space to bring it to ET34.. the rear @ ET27 on my car looks pretty flush, i run 235/265 with ps2 or cups. Great wheels, very very strong and lighter than the stock 18", style and substance and o.e quality. WIN!! ive been trying to replace mine for a long time. Ive finally decided..... imma leave em be!!

Agreed with Beebub that the front needs a 10mm spacer and the rear needs no spacer. That is how I am set up. In the near future when I have bigger tires I will see if I can fit a 12mm spacer up front.

i weighted both during my swap over, they are lighter, not by much, but they are lighter, but we talking like a couple of lbs on one axle, think it was the rear..... Hell even being the SAME weight wouldnt be shameful what with the larger width and diameter.

Since the radius of the wheel is obviously larger on the 19 inch rim, the majority of the mass is set slightly further out on the wheel versus a 18 inch rim. For that reason the CSL wheel needs to be a tad lighter than the OEM 18 rim for it to not negatively impact performance. I know we're talking a miniscule amount but just wanted to point out that it's not only the weight, but also the location of the mass that effects rotation.

I like to think that the overall effect is a wash.
