Looking into buying RPI or Stromung, would like to hear it in person first

Hi guys,

First post just got my Z4M on Friday!

I'm looking into getting an exhaust, most likely RPI or Stromung. I would like to hear each in person before I buy.

I'm looking for anyone in Chicago or NW Indiana area that would like to meet up and just let me hear the sound of either.

Thanks and hopefully I can find someone locally.

I am in Bloomington, IL and have RPI mufflers with stock everything else. Let me know if you're ever in the area or even near Champaign, IL.

If you decide on RPI, mine will be available very soon.

Great idea listening to both of them in person. I am suprrised that you are looking at these two; they are almost in the opposite level as far as how loud. I heard the RPI in person and there is no way i could tolerate it (way too loud).
Check out youtube clips, they are very accurate representation of how they sound in real life.

I've heard both in person.

An RPI on an otherwise stock car as well as RPI on a car with headers. The RPI's sound amazing and different to all other exhaust out there but they are really loud, especially with headers.

I have stromung with xpipe and headers. Sounds deep and loud but not obnoxious. I can keep the car actually pretty quiet around town or on the highway if desired but can also let the car "roar". There is a bit of drone around the 2-3K rpm range from the mufflers, regardless of other add ons.

I'm guessing it was due to price point.
