AFE intake and sound generator

Hello, I'm new to this forum.. I've had my 03 z4 3.0i for awhile now.

I was wondering if driving in the rain with an afe intake installed would destroy my engine.. and if theres an extensive guide ( with pictures ) showing how to remove the foam from the sound gen.

There is no guide that I've seen but apparently it's amazingly simple if you know what you're looking for. I believe it's a second pipe or something that leads off your intake towards the firewall into the interior, inside there is foam that you can pull out.

As far as the AFE intake is it a cold air down behind the bumper? You shouldn't have any problems with hydro locking UNLESS you drive through like standing water that is I'd say past your fogs which would have to be an insane puddle (or pond) Normal raining should not be enough to cause any damage. Also being in California you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
