sad to see you go mate, there is no way you can hang onto the car financially? lots of guys sell, only to regret it later on.
that said, an expanding family is also great news, congrats on that. hope you will still drop in every now and then and say hi (pics of the new little one, when the time comes or it never happened

Garage space is the real problem. Also the lack of time to drive a third car
I'll be sad to see it go, but my new ride isn't so bad. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1079111 |

Extenuating circumstances means it'll be featured at CarMax in Dulles sometime soon. The funny thing was they had another red Z4M at the front door when I walked in to sell it. They joked that they're going to park mine right next to it and sell them as a pair.

You've got to be kidding me. The same carmax that offered you $16k over the winter? I really wasn't kidding when I said I'd beat their offer a few months ago (but $22k+ was too much for me, hence I ended up with a non-M). I hope they offered you more this time after you dropped $2k on the inspection II.

Honestly, I think $18k is pretty good for a nine year old car with around 60k miles straight cash from a dealer.
It's sickening to me however how long these cars sit before they are sold. They're the best kept secret amongst performance cars, I could see owning an example for years and years to come. |

Yep- it seems they should be worth 25k easily and sell quickly, but even pristine cars like this one seem to languish. I have a like new '13 CBR250 for sale right now. Can't get much interest at all.

The BIG problem anyone trying to sell our cars will have going forward however, is that they're going to be too old for banks to give loans for. $20K+ cash is still out of range for the vast majority of Americans, and those who do have that kind of cash in reserve will probably want a newer car. Our cars are as niche as niche can be, all the stars have to line up to get a good buyer. I think our best hope is having a Z4M star in a Fast & Furious movie or something. My 94 Supra Twin Turbo basically doubled in value overnight after the first movie. |
