New tires and rims on my 2.5

I put new rims and tires on my 2004 2.5 . Their Nitto 555 extreme 265 35 on the rear and 235 40 on the front . I put some niche misano rims on them . 18x9.5 on the rear and 18x8 on the front I put them on two days ago and since I've been using them I feel like I have to hit the gas pedal a little more like I guess a light loss in power? Is that normal? Are the tires too big for the vehicle? Also when Im going let's say 20 mph or more and I hit he breaks like slowy leading up to the stop , I hear a squeak, or some sound from the brakes . It's not really that loud , but I've noticed it . Is any of this normal? Should I be concerned? Thanks!

Looks like you should be running 235/35 and 265/30; not 235/40 and 265/35. The sizes you're running are larger than stock diameter by a bit over 2%. That's reduced your torque to the wheels a bit which may make the car seem sluggish. The /35 /30 sizes decrease diameter by at bit over 1%, increasing wheel torque.

Aside from painting the calipers did you change anything?

You can try different sizes here.

Edit: light squeaking could be from using the brakes lightly all the time. You could try re-bedding the brakes and see if that helps. Nothing to really worry about as long as there's sufficient pad material left.

The new setup is probably a bit heavier. The overall diameter change won't make that big of a difference. It's not that much bigger than stock. Tires are usually fairly close in weight(similar size), the wheels can be night and day.

So the front tires the 235 40, were rubbing on the plastic on the back of the fender . I took them off . I'm going to buy some new ones I found some cheap 225/45/18 . But will that look weird with the 265 on the back? What size should I get if not these

Plug in the stock tires into an online tire calculator and see if they'll work.
