S54. Same engine , job done.
I agree tho, think we're taking this too far on stock internals. I feel comfortable at 8lbs, ill work with catless, cams, meth, and evolve custom tune and leave it Thier until I build the motor.

No it hasn't been a tuning issue. Not with ess, its been a fuelling issue ;-)
Maybe with this kit they will look at supplying a proper fuel upgrade. Then again looking over the system, it's easy to done without a tuners help.

What would we need? Better fuel pump? More volume?

M3 E46 also has problems with the fuel pump.
In this kit is a clear need to upgrade the fuel pump.

A friend mechanic has tested on the engine test bench S54 engine designed to drift with Vortech V3 Si, Motec M600, decompressed pistons (8,5:1), connecting rods reinforced, camshafts schrick 288/280, 13 psi, 110 octane race fuel .

Result reliability: 650 hp motor at 8000 rev / min.

They bought the kit VT1 450 to use the compressor bracket and Intake Manifold. Obviously the injectors of the kit were small and were replaced.

As used two fuel pumps Walbro 255 and pressure regulator on the return. It goes without saying fuel rail modified.

To maintain its reliability, have been content. They had achieved more than 700 hp at 17 psi.

my mechanic friend is Gozzoli (http://www.gozzoli.it).
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to advertise. Only information.

fuel pump, injectors-660cc, FPR, mayber large lines.... that would do nicely...
The aeromotive 340lph intank can support 650whp easily... so that would be my choice.
