Vibra tech and Rogue
A question from those with Vibra tech motor mounts and Rogue transmission mounts. With this combination, I get no increase in vibration at idle, when I first start the car. Then sometimes I get increased vibration at idle after driving for a while. I thought it might be when the fan is on but it can do this even before the motor is warm. There is more vibration increase with the AC on. Do those of you with this combination have similar issues? All of this is only when the car is at idle. Driving is always fine. It isn't a really big issue, I'm just wondering if this is normal. I did not do the install and wonder if I should live with it or ask the installers to have another look at it.

I have no vibration at all. Maybe shop over torque the mounts.
Edit: Did you replace your engine mount bracket bolts? I noticed vibration during idle when a couple backed out. Last edited by RobMCoupe; 07-23-2013 at 07:03 PM.. |

I think I had a bit more vibration than stock. It is barely perceptible, but there. Does NOT diminish the car in any way though and I consider it the best mod I've done to date.
Maybe I'll have to check my fasteners, not sure if I used new or not. |

I have the same VT & RE combo and noticed the slight increase vibration at warm idle as well. I figured that it idles at lower RPMs after the engine has warmed up, which caused the slight increase in vibration. I'd tried giving it some throttle to raise the RPMs just ever so slightly (approximately from 800rpm to 900rpm) and felt the vibration decreased. Turning on the A/C will add additional load to the engine, which will keep the RPM low...and therefore vibrates a bit more...so that's my conclusion
The added vibration isn't much, but it's noticeable compared to the OE & RE mounts. However, I will trade that off with more precise gear selection any day! I don't have to wince and flip a coin at whether I will get the 2nd gear crunch anymore |

Thanks for the input. I think that I will just live with it for now and see how it evolves over time. I very much like the results from a driving perspective. I had it on a track for the first time a couple of days ago and it is really a delight to drive. The track seems like its natural environment.

I have both the Vibra Technic engine mounts fast road and Rogue Neoprene transmision mounts and there is no extra vibrations, hot or cold.
But there is a new whining sound, that follows the rev in all gears, between 1900-2100 revs. Anyone else got this?

For those that wish it, the dealer can raise the idle speed about 150 rpm, if you believe it will help with the vibration issue. I'm running the Rogue stiffer motor mounts which cam out before the Vibra Technic mounts and the higher idle speed helps with my combination.

I have he RE motor and RE trans mounts and am getting noticeable vibrations at idle below 1k RPM. The precise shifting is nice but but my front bumper is rattling which makes the car sound cheap (I can't stand it).
I was thinking about swapping out my RE engine mounts with he Vibra road mounts. Do you guys with he Vibra motor mounts with RE trans mounts have this issue? |

I have the VT/RE combo and get just the slightest extra butt massage at idle.
Goes good with the seat heat. Lazy Boy would charge a lot more than what I paid.
