The Z is gone and her new replacment....

Well as many of you know i had to sell the Z and get something more practical, wifes orders

so i asked her what her idea of pratical was and she said 4 seats and an auto so thats all i needed and i went to work...

found this baby in MIAMI and was on a plane the next day. drove it back and had a blast the whole way home.

320HP and 7sp dual clutch (auto) manual tansmission. hey at least i met half way....

i know it fails in comparison with the sexy lines of the Z but its still a blast to drive and i can fit 4, so she cant complain plus its to me what made a BMW a BMW before they got all big and bloated......ive owned a few E30 iS's and a 2002 and loved them this brings me back to those cars even if its completly different.

i find the stubby proportions and tall greenhouse part of the charm as thats what the E-series was before they got all sleek and squatty i guess this is the last of the E series now their on the F's which im having trouble warming up to.

anywho the Z is now getting ready to be given to her new owner, my mother who desperatly wanted the car, and i know she will enjoy it as much as i did.

best part is its still in the fam and my dad was like you can buy it back whenever you want lolol...... shhhhhh....

so im still a part of the club and forum and wont be far now i have a lot to learn with this car as its my first Turbo...

here are some pics, she just turned a year old this month.

And what car is it? 335 or 135i with factory upgrade?

It's might the forum app that messes up the pics.

well it should work now, they show up on both my home and work computer,

its a 135I With level 2 bmw performance pack, just need to install the muffler that came with it as the previouse owner put the OE muffler back on and turned the car in with the exhaust so I bought it with a big box in the trunk lol.... so it basically is what the 135iS is minus the black mirror caps.

the previous owner slapped an iS logo on the back lol, oh well. technically it is an iS in every way performance wise just not vin wise. and the car was optioned with basically every option except cold weather package as it was a Miami car so why would it have been.

Dude I would hate the guy who took in your Z and has no clue about the mods you did. Why won't the brake pads I ordered fit? LOL

Thanks guys ! Yea the DCT is great and oh so fast just constant acceleration . The mods oh how I would love to dive in !!!! But I also made a promise to my better half to make no mods for a year ...... .

In the meantime I can do a mod matrix with top choices to last options (like full 1M body) hehehe . I can get away with small mods as I got the OEM led kit for the interior so that went under the radar but luckily it's fast and fresh enough I can make that happen and have some fun next summer . The wheels are TSW's with Michelin PSS tires, I hear their good ...

The original owner still has the rims for 1200 but shipping from Miami would be ridiculous so I may just find something closer .... In the meantime the modding of the N55 motor will continue and hopefully better equipment will come out. Luckily the new 2 series will use the N55 as well so I'm sure development for it will continue.
