So looking at rod/ piston weights I have saved ~160 grams per assembly while having a MUCH stouter setup . So that's nearly 1kg off the rotating mass . That will certainly help engine responsiveness as well as greatly improve reliability . I'm getting stoked it's getting close ! Next update will be pictures of the stage 3 head and new Iconel valves !

Looking great! Do you need to retune after engine internal upgrades?

I asked ESS that question and they said no, that their tune could adapt +\- 20% airflow . I will be running a larger sc pulley ( going from 79- 82mm had too much slip at times ) so that will offset the head work to an extent . My goal is to make the same power on less boost, run cooler on track and be more reliable . Won't know for sure until I test of course .

Why don't you get their 7 rib pulley set instead?

Well since the official ever changing pulley size is 82 mm for the 525 kit I should be good as I have only had issues with the 79 mm that used to be the "correct" pulley . I don't think a 6-7 rib design makes a big difference either .

16% more grip is difference between slipping and non slipping

Your crank size is 135 right ?
i have 130 and 79mm for the VT2-500 kit

Yes my crank is 135 . The new 525 sizes are 135mm and 82 mm . Like I said they are always changing . With the head work I've had done I'll make more power on less boost so I'm not worried about a small change that goes towards reliability . Less boost = less heat on track .

Top end pictures including the baby bottom smooth head after a stage 3 multi angle and the high rpm springs . Cool pic of Iconel valves vs stock too 😄.
