I've learned a hell of a lot hanging around here, and I'm "smart enough" now to know just how little I really know. I have to say I learn something new just about every time I'm over here.

My unofficial title is Data Geek. I have a nice corporate title that includes Analytics and a bunch of other things in it, but I usually just go with my first name. I'm not a big fan of titles and prefer to look at what people produce/deliver and the means by which they do so (e.g. character).

Man, less that two pages to take this thread off on some tangent! Meh, that's what I like about it here, lots of good info and some interesting discussion as well.

We had our inaugural corner balance session yesterday with Caddyshks car.
It was a very interesting session that yielded some great results.

Here is the 'before' data.

(...not sure that we read the 'before' ride heights exactly)

And the final data

Just get your ride heights where you want them.
Then just ball park the camber & caster.

Do you have your COs in already?

Did you disconnect the swaybars when scaling the car?

Usually you need adjustable SB end links to proper scale/adjust the car.
If not you end up loading up the swaybars.

That's a good point about the sways.
Since they aren't adj. sways, are you better to leave them connected or not? (car sitting dead nuts level)
When you hook 'em up again, won't you shift things?

We'll probably end up with aftermarket sways & adj links eventually, but not this year.

We're going to set the alignment then run it on the scales again.
It will be interesting to see if the alignment shifts things at all.

I found alignment can have a noticeable affect on corner weights, it all
depends on how much the alignment is changed. (even tire pressures affect
results - if you track you car you should set your tire pressures to your hot pressures)

As for the SB - you need only one adjustable link in the front and back to
properly set up your car. If not the car will not handle the same in left turns
as in right turns. Having the car behaive the same way in both directions is the
purpose of corner balancing your car with a 50/50 diagonal split.

In short to do it right and get the benefits you really need to set your corner
weights with the bars disconnected and then reconnect them and adjust the
endlink til to achieve the same readings.

Hope this helps...
