The design aesthetic in general is terrific. My personal concern lies both in the length of the wrap-around element as well as the height, especially as seen in the second "rough fit" photo. I worry that there's insufficient muscularity in the body design to carry it off w/o veering into boy-racerish territory (at least for me). And the point made about rear view visibility potentially presents a practical issue re. both backing up and driving swiftly in traffic with overall awareness IMO. But so far, kudos for an incredible job with this project.

Exactly....
Most of us have to adjust the rear-view up to see down the road.
Its the top of the back window that's obstructed.

IMO if there's ever a time to ask questions, it's now before it's produced. There's nothing wrong with a few devil's advocate if you ask me.

Personally I think whatever product comes to "market" will be 1,000x better than what we have NOW. And I've got $400 burning a hole in my pocket waiting for this.

But it won't be perfect. It's just the nature of things.

Rear visibility takes a backseat to aesthetics for me....in fact that was the main issue with the tekkarbon spoiler is that it's way too small and way too subtle.., this is exactly what was asked for

I had an AC Schnitzer rear wing, just removed it a couple of weeks ago. Difference in rear view visibility is completely unnoticeable. It will be the same for this design...

Hey all,

My apologies if I turned anybody off by bringing up the rear visibility. I just noticed that there was some test fitment going on, and was curious if anybody had looked in the rear view mirror during said fitment to get an idea of how much rear visibility was lost.

As many have said, the rear visibility with these cars is already poor, and blocking said visibility may actually help in the sense that it will keep trucks headlights out of your eyes, etc.

There's nothing wrong with the way this wing is being designed -- it's exactly what many people have been asking for, but it's still helpful to consider something like rear visibility so people can make as informed a decision about the product as possible

Like mentioned before, the design is already much nicer compared to what's out there so far and will most likely end up as a fantastic piece for the Z.

But i agree about the lateral length of the spoiler. I tried to visualise it comparing the connecting points seen in the pictures with the lines on my own car.
The spoiler wraps around the sides so far that i fear it will dominate the silhouette of the back too much. I'm fine with the height, but the side dimensions should orientate more on the current m4 spoiler design imo

Here's a top down view of the CAD that the design was based on. I don't think the wrap around will be excessive.
