The car was CPO; however, it's no longer eligible for extended warranties because there isnt a record of the 1200 mile service (this does not mean it wasn't done by the way)

prodigal...how did you able to get a detailed report on the car?
My dealer showed me (on their computer screen) that my car had the 1200 miles service, but Carfax doesn't showed it was done. A lot of M coupe that I had seen are similar, that is, there's no record of the 1200 miles service being performed via Carfax. |

so, I'm going to ask a Noobie question... I've seen a ton of corproate and by the book info that Ron has posted, but I haven't searched back far enough to figure out his background..... what affiliation does he have? Ron, i'm sure you are probably reading this, I ask out of .........

I think Caddyshk is saying the first Z4 M released to the public (Ron's car apparently) was chassis LL93033 which was built on 4/27/06, whereas the car I just bought is chassis LL93019 which was built 4/19/06...so this must make my car a corporate owned car? (which in fact it was first registered as, and has the Press Car prep tag)

Likely a car used for Media and Dealer showroom events. In Canada they did a Dealer tour of M cars including a Coupe in May 2006.

THANK YOU GUYS! I am glad though, that the car was once CPO'd (for what that's worth).
It's tough finally finding the car you want feature wise (1 of 7 in this config), and then having to balance logic on top of it all! I am certain though, that I wouldn't even be looking at these cars, had there not been a good collection of enthusiasts here to help with issues, share stories and have that same genuine interest that I have for the car. I always seem to gravitate towards those types of cars and people Last edited by Chamberlin; 08-09-2013 at 10:08 PM.. |

I think you should bail on this car ASAP...I want to have the only one in Tucson!
On a more serious note, when you get it, take the coupe to blue+white BMW service for an inspection...any chance your deal can be made contingent on a full inspection being done on arrival? Maybe I'll see your coupe around soon!
