I haven't run with Seat Time there yet but run with a few different PCA Chapters (Citrus and Crown) and some private days. If you make it out to the Flat Out event I'd be more than happy to help point you in the right direction and find some extra speed.

I love it, but wouldn't recommend it unless you have a lot more than stock rubber if you plan on tracking your car. I'm running 275 RE-11 on 10.5 wheels in the rear, with a 3 clutch variable ramp 30/60/90 custom differential from Dan at Diffsonline. I'ts light years better at putting power down on the track than the stock diff. That being said if you plan on drag racing I would say no, b/c despite a huge rear tire first gear is still obliterated from a stop. The better in gear acceleration, negating the low rev parasitic drag of the SC and more favorable ratios on the tracks I drive made it a huge win for my application. Hope that helps.

Any of my M roadster track going folks figure out a way to install a harness bar? With my pole position seats I'm a good two inches below the roll hoops on the broomstick test so i'm quite happy with the hardtop and stock roll over protection for Street /DE use but would like the stability of a harness and a utilize neck protection.

how easy is it to change pads on the PFC kits....just from looking at pictures of the caliper it looks like for the fronts you actually remove the caliper. Next time you do a pad swap i would love to see some pics!
enjoy the car |

Thats the only solution that makes sense to me too as thats part of the subframe, and everything lateral is the base for the soft top or exterior body panel . I have a custom cage builder looking at it will let everyone know what we come up with. It pays to be in NASCAR country sometimes.

It's extremely easy, pretty much take the wheel off and yank them out , trully a race setup. The only down side is b/c they are like that they do clunk going over bumps in the road etc. I'll post pics nextime I swap back to my Z rated pads in between track seasons as my 08 pads will likely outlive my car since the track i run most often is really easy on brakes.

The PFC system is more expensive ESP. If you go with the 355 monoblock setup...but I my eyes you are getting a more efficient system.
I am doing all I can NOT to upgrade brakes. My biggest issue with my stock calipers how I have they setup for the track is that on heavy braking tracks is a long pedal...so long that the top of my sneaker is below the level of the throttle....makes heel toeing a hoot. If I continue to have current issues I will be going PFC as some point. I think it's more that just overheating fluid and may have to do with master cylinder but in just using a combo of logic and a stabbing in the dark. |
