In my case, when my boss saw it and she was flipping out as how I could afford it. Needless to say, this year I am not looking forward to a bonus

LOL well the first time I didn't get a ticket and the second time I did. They asked me what kind of car it was in both instances. I think I told you the story of the first time when I was handcuffed but they let me go.

If the chance arises you could use it as an opportunity to highlight your wonderful negotiation skills (e.g. "I worked a really great deal to get this car--it really pays to negotiate, it's amazing what kind of deals you can get...") or something along those lines....

The Ferrari and Porsche guys end up being nuts about the car.

True stories--it's happened to me several times when I drove the Z4M and it happens to my wife all the time. Car enthusiasts (not the "badge drivers", but real enthusiast types who actually track their cars) are always asking her about the car....

That and if you park way the hell off in parking lots you often find some other performance car--often those costing 2x-3x or more--parked next to you (the unwritten rule that says if I park my nice car next to your nice car you won't ding my car).

Yep, I went to a PCA (Porsche Club of America) autocross last year and all of the Porsche guys/girls were crazy about my car and kept asking me about it. My female instructor was really impressed with the car. This was when I had the black 3.0Si coupe, not the M.

...when u drive ur buddy to the local dealership to help him pick out a car and customers start pointing at ur car and asking the salesmen, 'how much for THAT!?'

...when u're walking back to ur car after work and ur instructors (in my case) comment, 'get a damn truck!' with just that hint of jealousy/disbelief.
